Oct. 3 is Proclaimed "Ink Stains Day"

The September 12, 2022, Write Club meeting was extra special! Not only did Write Club celebrate its first anniversary, but also Mayor David Krutzfeldt attended the meeting and proclaimed October 3, 2022 (the first Monday of October) as “Ink Stains Day” in Oskaloosa.

Oskaloosa Write Club met for the first time in September 2021. Its goal is simple: to hold monthly meetings that bring together local writers to write, talk about writing, and encourage each other. Members Pam Blomgren and Kathy Christy launched a sister group for poets called Ink Stains, which meets twice-monthly to share and workshop poetry.
